Questions, answered
Can I use my own AI model instead of the built-in one?
Yes — every plan, including the Free trial, supports bringing your own OpenAI-compatible API key (OpenAI, DeepSeek, or a self-hosted model). Generation through your own key doesn't count against your plan's generated-word quota. Pro and Max sync that configuration across your devices.
What happens to text longer than my plan’s limit?
The Free trial processes up to 300 words (about 1,800 characters) per request. Starter raises that to 24,000 characters. Pro and Max raise it further to 200,000 characters, processed as a background job with automatic progress recovery if it runs long.
What are generated and scanned words?
Generated words are what Humanize rewrites for you. Scanned words are what our AI-detection check can review. Starter, Pro, and Max get an equal amount of both every month; the Free trial gets an equal one-time amount of both to use across its 30 days.
Is there a free plan?
There's a free 30-day trial: 1,200 generated words and 1,200 scanned words to use across 30 days from when you sign up, no credit card required. It ends after 30 days — upgrade to Starter, Pro, or Max any time to keep going with a recurring monthly allowance.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes — every paid plan is billed monthly with no long-term contract. Cancelling returns your account to the Free tier at the end of the current billing period, subject to the same 30-day trial window as any other Free account.
